Madhya Pradesh government will provide the financial assistance of Rs.25000 to the farmers who have lost their crops in hailstorm. This announcement is made by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The financial assistance will be provided to those farmers who have lost 50% crops during the recent hailstorm.
The amount of Rs.25000 will be given to the farmers for the marriage of their daughters. The state government of Madhya Pradesh will also provide the loans to the farmers next year.
The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the farmers who suffered 100 per cent crop loss would be given food grains at a rate of Re one per kilogram. He said that the officials have been directed to conduct the survey of hailstorm affected farmers at the earliest in the state.
The chief minister assured that the hailstorm and untimely rains have caused damage to crops of the farmers. The assessment of damaged crops will be done promptly and relief will be provided to farmers at the earliest.
He also said that the farmers who have crop insurance cover will be provided 25 per cent amount after preliminary assessment and full amount will be provided later on. On the other side, for farmers who have not taken insurance cover, the loss of crops will be compensated by the state government of Madhya Pradesh.
The state government of Madhya Pradesh will provide this financial assistance to the farmers for the marriage of the daughter.
